A Q&A With the Glammest Eye Doc on Social Media

As an eye doctor, mother, and influencer, how has COVID changed your relationship with your phone and screen time?

I’m actually spending less time on the phone and more time being present with my daughter.  I feel like social media can be a toxic place when used too much and can put one in a place that’s not necessarily reality.

How important is it to protect children’s eyes from blue light?

Extremely, in my opinion. I have so many of my GlamBaby customers and patients tell me that their children no longer rub their eyes at the screen or complain about headaches since using them.

Do you have tips for protecting eyes on a day-to-day basis?

100 percent UV sunglasses are the easiest and best type of preventative care. Visit your eye care professional yearly, protect your eyes from UV and blue light, and spend less time on digital devices. In addition, spend more time outside for myopia control.

What inspired you to become an influencer and what is your vision for the future?

Initially it was my love of fashion that started GlamOptometrist, but as I have grown as a person and entered different roles in my life the meaning behind it has changed.  Now, I want to help educate the world more on the importance of preventative eye care and children’s eye health.
